Field Visit & Project Proposal Writing Workshop โ€“ SHE4Climate Fellowship

What an incredible day for the fellows of the SHE4Climate Fellowship! ๐Ÿ’š
We had the privilege to visit the #Resilient House (a research project done by University of Dundeeโ€™s UNESCO Centre for Water Law, Policy and Science and BRAC University Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research-C3ER, BRAC University) and take part in a Project Proposal Writing Workshop. This experience was not just about learningโ€”it was about empowering young women to step forward as future climate leaders of Bangladesh. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ผ
The fellowship is proudly supported by Eco-Network Global, C3ER, BRAC University, BINDU ngo and GGF, whose collective efforts are making this journey possible for aspiring women climate leaders. Together, we are building a network of passionate young women ready to tackle the challenges of climate change.

Bangladesh Youth COP 2025

Ms. Sadia Jahan Rothi, Board Director, Eco-Network Global spoke as a Youth Speaker at the Youth Roundtable: Bangladesh Youth Position for COP30, leading to Bangladesh Youth COP 2025.
In her intervention, she emphasized the urgent need to recognize ecosystems not merely as resources but as living systems that protect people, livelihoods, and biodiversity.
She also outlined the clear demands for COP30:
๐ŸŒฑ Ensure grant-based finance for youth-led initiatives
๐ŸŒฑ Guarantee simplified, direct access to climate finance for youth & local communities
๐ŸŒฑ Scale up youth-led NbS projects and research, including mangrove restoration, regenerative agriculture, urban greening.
๐ŸŒฑ Create green jobs for youth so nature is protected, not exploited
๐ŸŒฑ Embed NbS in NDCs & adaptation plans, recognizing their dual role in adaptation & mitigation
Her call was simple yet urgent: NbS must be embraced as justice-centered, holistic solutions that heal ecosystems and strengthen resilience.

Youth Policy Dialogue 2025

One of our dedicated representatives, Fariha Akter from Eco-Network Bangladesh recently joined the Youth Policy Dialogue 2025, where delegates from 10 major political parties โ€” including BNP, NCP, Jamaat, Ganandolon, and others โ€” came together to engage with youth voices.
In this dialogue, our representative shared concerns, demands, and aspirations with policymakers, urging them to reflect youth priorities in their upcoming election manifestos. ๐Ÿš€
Alongside this, they also participated in a workshop on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), where discussions with Deputy Police Commissioners, Directors General, NGO leaders, and policymakers shed light on pressing issues and solutions.
Through these platforms, our representative gained valuable clarity on acts, policies, and advocacy tools โ€” equipping them to work more effectively in the future.
๐Ÿ™Œ We are proud to see our youth contributing meaningfully in such impactful spaces, ensuring that our voices travel upward to decision-makers.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Eco-Network Global remains committed to empowering young leaders with opportunities to engage, question, and shape the policies that affect their lives.
